Dr. Edita Đapo has been leading the Ministry of Tourism and Environment of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2015. Having served as a Deputy Minister of Finance and Treasury for the two prior years, Minister Đapo has an in-depth understanding and first-hand experience fueling tourism-driven develop and growth with an eye to benefitting the local economy. Building on her economic experience, the Government of Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has appointed Minister Đapo to lead the federal Crisis Working Group for Economic Sector to mitigate the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to her tourism portfolio, she also oversees federal environment portfolio, which includes some of Europe’s most pristine nature parks and rivers. Minister Edita Đapo holds a PhD in International Economics from Tohoku University in Japan and was professor and lecturer at several universities including the International University of Sarajevo. Minister Đapo is the member of Association of International Economic Studies in Japan and the Center for Economic Development and Research of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
