Duncan Horton specialises in digital transformation and business development, and as chief executive has overall operational responsibility for Jacobs Media Group’s global portfolio.
After starting his career in the brewing industry and then television production, he joined the travel industry in 1996, rising through the ranks at Jacobs’ car rental giant Holiday Autos to become group e-commerce director.
Following the acquisition of Holiday Autos by lastminute.com, he moved to the dotcom pioneer where he managed the group’s 36 websites before overseeing the integration of a portfolio of online businesses and delivering significant global e-commerce benefits after its acquisition by Sabre.
In 2006, he joined another Jacobs-owned company, Freeads Classifieds, as chief executive, before moving to Travel Weekly Group following its acquisition from Reed Business Information.
He was appointed chief executive of Travel Weekly Group in 2011 and has since worked alongside the chairman to implement Jacobs Media Group’s strategy including the acceleration of the international expansion of the business through a mixture of acquisition and organic growth.
