Chief Operating Officer and Head of Travel, U.S. and Canada

Robert Gallagher is the Chief Operating Officer and the head of travel
for U.S. and Canada at AIG Travel. In this role, he is responsible for
creating and executing the business plan for the region, driving the
sales efforts and overseeing market development activities across all
distribution channels.

Robert joined AIG in 2004 as vice president and Leisure Travel profit
center manager for the Accident & Health division in the U.S. and
Canada. In 2006, with AIG’s acquisition of Travel Guard, he assumed
the duties of Chief Operating Officer for Travel Guard Worldwide; he
was later appointed Chief Marketing Officer in 2009, served a brief
tenure as Chief Strategy Officer in 2011, and then returned to the CMO
position in 2012. In 2014, he resumed the COO position while also
taking on responsibility for Travel industry relations. He moved into
his current role in 2016.
