AWFT joins forces with Tourism Innovation Summit 2023 to boost sustainable tourism in Seville.

The renowned A WORLD FOR TRAVEL event will take place in Seville October 18-19, 2023, celebrating its 4th year. This year’s edition will be structured with a focus on 5 key shifts in the future of the travel industry: Climate, Environmental, Technological, Economic and Social.  Government officials, Ministers of Tourism and private sector Captains of Industry will participate in discussions sharing groundbreaking initiatives. The two-day event designed in a Davos-style manner is aimed at transforming the travel industry and all those serving the traveller to become more sustainable in all aspects of their businesses.  Produced in conjunction with the Global Travel and Tourism Resilience Council, the A World for Travel organizers are working globally to ensure the travel industry and all those associated operate sustainably.
Thought leaders from global enterprises will join public sector officials, academics, experts, NGO representatives and the media to shift towards the future. Special speakers will be associated to each of the 5 themes in these shifts, they will be tasked to deliver new insights, new experiences, new leadership.  Companies like Amadeus, Ponant Cruises, Radisson Hotel Group and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, Europcar Mobility Group, Pierre et Vacances Center Parcs, will join global media firms like CBS News and the BBC to challenge government and NGOs like the UNDRR, Global Travel and Tourism Partners and Global Business Travel Association to find new ways of collaborating and attaining Net Zero targets sooner than later.

This year the organizers are announcing the unique collaboration with the Tourism Innovation Summit (TIS). After being held online, then in Évora (Portugal) and Nimes (France), this year the exciting collaboration with TIS brings the event to Seville where the two organizations aim to facilitate boosting the transformation of responsible and sustainable tourism around the world through the travel and tourism industries as well as others.
The event moves into its fourth year partnering with the 2,300-year-old city of Seville in the South of Spain where the European Commission has recently awarded the city the European capital of Smart Tourism 2023.
“After building awareness and varieties of experimentation, the travel and tourism industry must shift towards the future. It is time to scale up the sustainable transformation of the sector. The 5 themes allow us to spotlight and convert behaviors, business models, products and services and even influence consumers’ experience. A World for Travel 2023 will provide the best of Seville showing its award-winning leadership as the European capital of Smart Tourism 2023; The Global Travel and Tourism Resilience Council accelerates resilience through identification of key leadership schemes in industry and TIS promotes technological innovation to provide industry with solutions,” shared Christian Delom, Secretary General, AWFT.
